San Diego Mountain Biking Association received REI Grant for Pamo Valley - Orosco Ridge Trails Plan

The San Diego Mountain Biking Association (SDMBA) is proud to once again be an honored recipient of the 2017 REI Grant for $15,000.   This grant will be used to partially fund the Pamo Valley - Orosco Ridge Trails Plan.

This gift from REI will be added to the almost $15,000 that was raised in the past month from over 150 individuals who believe in the vision of more trails for San Diego!  The SDMBA Board also allocated $5000 towards this effort. SDMBA has signed on with IMBA Trail Solutions as the professional trail design firm for this project.  We are working on scheduling with IMBA Trail Solutions and hope to have them here in Ramona late this month!  Yes, this month - May, 2017!

REI has been a loyal and enthusiastic supporter of REI programs and events and we are grateful for their support of our mountain biking community.  Past SDMBA REI grants are still working for all mountain bikers on projects such as the trail development at Black Mountain Open Space Park and the popular bike tool stands that are being installed around the county.

Visit SDMBA and REI both at Explore Mission Trails Day on May 20 at Mission Trails Regional Park/East Fortuna Staging Area.  Make sure to say thank you to REI for their support!
