POSTPONED: Archipelago Ride 2020

The San Diego Mountain Biking Association has been closely monitoring the Novel Covid-19 virus progression, the official response, and the impact on organized events.  On March 11, California Governor Gavin Newsom ordered the cancellation of gatherings of 250 or people across the entire state. While that was a watershed moment, we waited for the County of San Diego’s lead.  On March 12, the county followed the Governor's response and is not allowing events for over 250 attendees either, and Green Flash Brewing is also canceling all large events.

It is with heavy hearts that we must postpone the Archipelago Ride which was to be held on April 4, 2020.

Due to the size of the event, the proximity of the participants and volunteers especially at aid stations and the finish, and an abundance of concern for everyone’s health, we cannot hold the event at this time.  We are working as quickly as possible with the various agencies and sponsors to determine the best date in which to reschedule the event. We will provide more information once we have determined an appropriate date, understanding that the announcement of a new date could be a few weeks out as we monitor the situation.

We will plan on shifting all registrations over to the new date once it is determined. In follow up communications, we will offer options for those who have a conflict with the new date.

Contact archride@sdmba.com with any specific and immediate concerns.

Please check SDMBA.com calendar, FaceBook events or MeetUp Page for updates and status on smaller events like trail work.

We greatly appreciate the support of everyone - especially our volunteers who keep the wheels turning! This is the best direction possible, keeping the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, members and participants, a top priority.

We hope you all wash your hands, get outside and ride your bike...6 feet is all we ask!
