San Diego Mountain Biking Association Announces Double Header Weekend of Riding, Camping & Fun at Two Separate Events in October
San Diego, CA, May 27, 2021 – World-class riding, top-notch entertainment, camping and philanthropic fun – get ready because this October will offer the single greatest weekend in San Diego mountain biking history with two incredible opportunities to have a blast and raise money for the San Diego Mountain Biking Association (SDMBA). With a mix of music, food, camping and full-on bike racing, Monuments of Cycling is bringing its BLAZING SADDLES par ty to Escondido at Daley Ranch, Friday through Sunday, October 15 - 17. And that same weekend, The SDMBA 3rd Annual Mount Laguna Trail Fest presented by ZOIC Clothing will be filled with two-wheeled exploration and camping in the beautiful trees of the Cleveland National Forest.
BLAZING SADDLES, a unique cycling, music and food festival set at Daley Ranch will bring together an eclectic mix of food, drink, music and cycling unlike anything Southern California has ever seen. It will be a festival to showcase the region’s thriving cycling, culinary, beer and music scenes and will be presented with an appreciation for bringing the world together again in a beautiful, idyllic and rustic oasis. In addition to a gravel/road ride, plus 6-, 12- and 24- hour racing for both mountain bikers and gravel riders (for individuals and teams), BLAZING SAD DLES will incorporate camping options with a seamless, interactive experience for all guests and be the first festival of its kind.
Registration is now open at www.BlazingSaddlesFestival.com for the individual, team and cor porate challenge events, as well as the campsites. Initial entry fees range from $100 to $200, with discounts for junior riders.
A portion of the funds generated from BLAZING SADDLES will directly support SDMBA’s ef forts with the City of Escondido and other local partners on the Master Trails Plan which will improve and expand trail access at Daley Ranch.
