June 8, 2021 — SAN DIEGO, CA — The San Diego Mountain Biking Association (SDMBA) and Monuments of Cycling, creators of the world-famous Canyon Belgian Waffle Ride, are launching a new fundraising campaign to support local trail efforts in San Diego, with the grand prize winner receiving a $4,000 shopping spree for the Canyon bike of their dreams.
Canyons define the San Diego landscape - Canyon bikes are created for you to explore them! The “Choose Your Canyon” campaign supports SDMBA’s local trail projects and advocacy efforts to improve access for mountain biking in San Diego, with ten percent of each contribution going to Bikes Del Pueblo, a local nonprofit working to empower local communities through bicycle education for mechanical and transportation self-sufficiency.
A $10 donation gets a contributor one entry, while each $20 donation receives three entries. That means a $1,000 donation would get 150 chances at the exciting grand prize of $4,000 towards any Canyon bike.

Second prize: Fox Racing prize pack featuring a helmet, gloves and jersey
SDMBA aims to raise $30,000 through this 7-week fundraiser, which begins on Monday, June 7, 2021, and ends on Saturday, July 17 at 7:00 p.m. PST. A winner will be selected on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. PST.

Their work is not only vital to what we offer riders each year, but so important for the legion of cycling enthusiasts who get the pleasure of riding the trails SDMBA has a hand in creating, maintaining and sharing with the community” , shared Michael Marckx, Belgian Waffle Ride Founder.
