San Diego is a cyclist’s dream in terms of great weather for maximum days out in the environment. MTBBill provides a great guide to challenging trails of all levels in SoCal and is informative and entertaining. MTBProject is a new resource growing in complexity and also very helpful finding places to ride and learning about the terrain.
If you enjoy mountain biking with others and exploring new opportunities for recreation and fun then you are invited to join the San Diego Mountain Biking Association Meetup. Meetup makes it easy to socialize with other riders and sponsors, explore unfamiliar terrain with the safety of comrades, go on an adventure ride, ride a new singletrack trail, take a clinic, join a trail work day, or to list your own event. Sign up is easy.

San Diego trails are often busy places with multiple types of trail users enjoying recreational opportunities. IMBA created a helpful guide to trail etiquette when coming into contact with equestrians, fellow riders, and hikers on singletrack and other trails. SDMBA supports the trail etiquette outlined below. Please familiarize yourselves with these concepts… and please pick up a SDMBA loaner Bike Bell from a trail head at Elfin Forest and Cowles Mt/MTRP.
