2nd Annual Mount Laguna Trail Fest

The SDMBA 2nd Annual Mount Laguna Trail Fest presented by Zoic Clothing brought together an amazing collection of humans who like to ride mountain bikes, camp under the stars and laugh with their friends and families.   

On this mid October weekend, with Santa Ana winds looming in the forecast, the weather was stellar in the Cleveland National Forest with warm sun during the day and clear, cold, starry nights. SDMBA volunteers were the best hosts and our sponsors and vendors brought the fun and the goods to share.   The Sierra Nevada Brewing Company lounge was a popular spot all weekend.  Big thanks to Giant and Liv, Marin and Ibis Cycles for bringing their demo fleets!  Much fun was had visiting with the reps from Zoic Clothing, Maxima Racing Oils, 100%, Adventure KT, and the USFS Staff including Smokey Bear!  The Julian Beer Co. was met with open arms as they brought Pizza and beer to the masses on Friday night.  Tacos on Saturday night were scarfed in abundance and the dessert table by Mountain Bike Baker was amazing. The Julian Pie Co. baked goods and fruit with REI didn't last long on Sunday morning.  The many kids in attendance loved the Clif Bar pumptrack and the tree tents set up by Alter Experiences.  Skills were improved by kids and adults alike with clinics from Ninja Mountain Bike Performance and Sprockids San Diego.   The Beaten Path shuttles were appreciated by those who descended down beautiful Noble Canyon.

We thank everyone who had a hand in making this a magical event including our amazing partners at the Descanso District of the Cleveland National Forest.  A portion of the proceeds from this event will help support the USFS staff time needed to complete the required NEPA studies for the Mount Laguna Trails Restoration Project.

Let's do it again next year!   October 16-18, 2020!
