Item 1. How many people attending Greenways?
Email Laurel to volunteer -Susie to send out her email. www.CAMTB - (proposed website). Kevin to do the Stowe session on Thursday/board members need to attend.
Discussion: how much should budget be? Is board willing to pay and split the amount above budget?

Ben: Discussed how spreadsheet is set up; noted to look at retention rate;
The Like campaign is targeted toward only those who’ve expressed mtb interest in SD county. Last month the campaign for Where did you ride this weekend? Attracted MANY likes and good participation.

Item 3. Rancho Guejito Event update/Budget (Susie/Ben)
Raindate is going into effect! The parking lot is too muddy/saturated.
Susie: No refunds, but she is working with people if needed. Offering to transfer the funds to Arch or Trailfest if someone needs to cancel.
We’re in the black thus far. 200 entries would get us to the 11k profit mark.
30k was our 2019 budget. Need to hold a budget meeting in the next month to review.
Item 4. Arch Ride Update Half Arch Ad Budget $500 (Susie)
311 full rides been sold to date.
45 halves sold. Need to promote - it’s a new addition to the event.
Original motion was $200, but need to bump up to $500

Item 6. Action item: Renewal of Nonprofit Management Solutions membership $650. Karen has signed up for How to be a Volunteer Coordinator

Item 7. Action item: Help fund the start of CA MBT ($?) (Kevin/Susie)
This is the starting of CA MTB association. Money needs to be advanced before the clubs, (approx. 35 clubs in CA/28 are interested as of right now) kick in. i.e. creating a website, etc. - seed money needed.
The purpose is to have a unified voice for MTB in the state.
Matt asked: what is this going to do for us? Knowledge share; local issues will get a state-wide voice. Starting as a 501c3 and can convert to 501c4 down the road. The model is Washington State’s website: Evergreen.com
Kevin is asking for authorization to commit up to $5,000 pending approval of a budget. $4,500 of it needs to be approved by the board

Item 8. Excavator Purchase Update and Grant Project Matrix (Ben/Susie)
It’s a big purchase and Ben has tightened up the budget.
1200 for trailer storage. Machine stored on top of trailer in a secure parking lot.
Connex box in Bonita Bike Park is 95% sure though.
Insurance is unknown until serial number is provided.
REI asked us to create a grant list -

Item 9. Action Item: Promotion budget for Five for the Grail Bike Giveaway $20,000 (10% of goal of $20,000)

Item 10. Bike Park Update and Storage Update (Ben/Susie)
Two bids came in at 1.7M.
The County has asked for our feedback on what can be eliminated and what we can do in the project. Example by Ben: there’s maintenance we could potentially help with once it’s built (with the goal being no liability and low cost).
Project completion is targeted for end of summer.
Our expenditure will be for 2020 budget. (This is not in the budget now).
Ben: we won’t have any expenses for this in 2019.
Item 11. Action Item: Expenditure approval of County Community Enhancement Grant ($9000); a portion to be spent on Salary - $7300, $1700 (to be adjusted as necessary) for Bike Tool Station OR Storage Container for Sweetwater Bike Park. Money needs to be spent by July.

Item 12. SDMBA Google Drive (Ben/Susie)
It’s a work in progress; when we’re all logged in, Susie can’t tell who is in there. Kyle will look into Google for Business and Google Team Drive.
Item 13. Discussion: Balancing Trail Advocacy Strategy
Our stance is Land Owner and Land Manager “Agnostic”; our mission is Trail Advocacy, (see our Mission Statement). Our Mission Statement is CLEAR.
