  1. CAMTB Business Susie and Jeremy McGee are our reps

    1. Wilderness Survey 

      1. Needs to be completed by SDMBA as an org. 

        1. Share out to public and/or members? - decision made to send special email to SDMBA members only.

    2. 2021 Donation $5,000 approval

      1. Already allocated in 2021 budget

    Formed a committee to fill out survey: Kevin, Matt, Gerry, Tim

    Susie to send out a doodle poll to the committee of 4.

  

  1. Events 2021

    1. Archipelago Ride 

      1. Survey results and decision -75/25 i.e. in person event v. virtual; 

      2. Communication to registrants/public - Susie to send out email

      3. Virtual event still possible? - continuing to think about this.

 

  1. Mount Laguna Trail Fest - Oct. 15, 16, 17, 2021

  2. Trail work with REI (3/13) and Athletic Brewing Co. (3/12) -Athletic Brewing to be at Daley 

  3. Other - BWR (July 18) -Belgian Waffle Ride

 

  1. Trail/Advocacy updates

    1. MTRP Bridge update (Susie/Kevin) - Susie has connected with the young man’s family (Max Lenail) who passed away recently. The family is committed to getting a bridge built and working through the process to get it done. 

    2. TECC Trail update - work wrapped up 2 weeks ago (drainage installed)

    3. Daley Ranch update -working on Creek Crossing; should finish up drain work tomorrow. Olivenhain and Daley expressed desire to hire SDMBA (Ben) for trail work next winter.

    4. PQ update -location of next project, TBD

    5. SDRP update - San Dieguito River Park 

    6. City of SD Right of Entry permit update -appealed (objection filed); city has up to 60 days to docket the appeal. Ben to follow up with Laura.

 

  1. Development updates: 

    1. NEEF Grant for Trail Counters ($2500) awarded -Scott Hanson doing the research for this. Susie to possibly come back to the board for additional funds, if needed.

    2. County Grants in development

      1. CEP (Community Enhancement Program) grant asking $10K from each supervisor

      2. NRP (Neighborhood Reinvestment Program) grants

        1. Lawson-Remer 15K for Daley Ranch

        2. Nathan Fletcher 15K for Balboa Park

        3. Joel Anderson 15K for Mt. Laguna/CNF

      3. 2020 County grant Trail Etiquette/Education Program~4k remaining

        1. Working on possible video project with Sport Rx -discussed with Rob to help produce video.

        2. Bell program reboot/redesign -they’ll be back at top of Noble Canyon; Susie working with girl scout gold award candidate for help with ideas to make bells available again. Bells have not been allowed to be made available during Covid.

 

  1. PPP loan round 2 application pending

  2. Membership 

    1. January 66 renewals/29 new 47% retention.  A little low after big December

    2. Early Feb. sluggish.  Susie refreshed ads and increased audience on digital ads.  Also reminding expired card folks to update info. 

    3. Membership incentive for March/April? Hollywood Rack? 

 

  1. National Mountain Bike Patrol potential (Susie)
