Questions or comments?
1. Rod Simmons brought up an issue with the Quick and Dirty Filthy Fifty course County permits in the Lusardi Area. Suggestions were given and follow up on contacts.
2. Kyle Gunderman voiced his is concern about vandalism of the Black Mt Arsenic remediation area. It seems that the textile material is being pulled up from the trail. Susie will talk to Matt Bartlett about the issue and then consider going out to public media with an educational note as to why the textile material is there. Susie is cautious about the wording used because it might be seen as directed at mountain bikers.

Cleveland National Forest: Orosco Ridge Public Comment/Study update
1. Susie briefed on the overwhelming positive comments that were given. Over 500 comments were submitted. NEPA studies are ongoing by the USFS specialists and we are encouraging them to understand the urgency of getting this work done.

Cleveland National Forest: Mt. Laguna/REI Grant
1. SDMBA got the grant from REI for $15,000. Kevin bought up the Mt. Laguna Trail Fest (Oct 12-14). The funds raised at this event will also support the proposed trail improvements and new trail planning and building at Laguna.

East Elliott Signage placement (Kevin)
1. MCAS has moved signs to better delineate MCAS boundaries. Kevin told the room all trail north of the 52 is not authorized.

Stowe trail Permits and renewals update (Kevin)
1. Kevin explained that the machine used to print the permits is broken but renewal requests still need to be submitted. MCAS will call people when the machine is fixed. SDMBA has confirmed with the base that people should ask for a temporary permit upon application and that people should carry their expired permits with them.

Rockhouse/Mother Miguel Update (Jose)
1. Several trail work days have resulted in progress on the lower alignment of the Rock House trail. Volunteer turnout has been great. The Bonita Bikers are taking a major role here. 6/10 trail work schedule to install bridge.

Black Mountain Open Space/Arsenic Remediation Update (Matt Bartelt)
1. This was discussed earlier in the opening comments from Kyle. Doug Johnson brought up concerns about some crushed rock being spread on the lower portion of Miner’s Ridge trail . It may be left over material from the arsenic remediation. There was some discussion on what could be done to make it more rideable, Susie will discuss this with Matt.

Penasquitos Update (Matt Bartelt)
1. Kyle was at the recent trail work day and talked about the work done by the Boy Scouts and other work done by SDMBA and Ranger Eric.

Otay Trail Alignment Study Public Workshop June 20 (Susie)
1. Susie encouraged attendance at the upcoming workshop in Chula Vista and gave some background on this multi-jurisdictional effort to increase trail connectivity in the South Bay.

SD Regional Bike Summit (Susie)
1. Susie briefed and conversation went off topic to eBikes. Kevin talked about SDMBA’s position on the subject and referenced NEMBA’s position. Kevin would like to approach the SDMBA board to develop a stance on E-bikes.

Canari/SDMBA Jerseys - link at SDMBA.com (Susie)
1. Carni jerseys are available for purchase now. Canari will process orders once a month and the store will remain open. Samples were available at the meeting.
