Item 2. Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (Susie)
How to address this important issue going forward - strategic plan, representation at events/hiring/board and other volunteers; partner events;
communications, event scholarships, etc. partnership ideas with Outdoor
Outreach, others.
Anti Discrimination Article 11 - updated in bylaws - July 2019
Our bike park projects are a start toward providing a more inclusive community that is accessible to more people.
Example for reference from MBoSC
Susie will send some resources to the board.
Item 3.CAMTB (Susie)
-Member Organization Agreement DRAFT for review
This doc is undergoing an edit at CAMTB. Will present new draft at July meeting for approval.
-Advisory Committee Nominees: Susie Murphy and Jeremy McGhee

-Contributions to CAMTB from SDMBA
$5000 approved by board 10/16/19
$2500 contributed 11/2019
Propose contributing already promised $2500 now to CAMTB
Decision made to send check for $2,500 to CAMTB.
*currently at 1171 paying members so at $5 per agreement
SDMBA would be committed to another ~$850 in 2020.
Item 4. Volunteer Appreciation Party 2020 - Virtual? -discussion (Karen)
Link to MBoSC for example to discuss.
Brainstorm: interviews, post volunteers on FB; coupon codes for volunteer hours; virtual goodie bag; trail liaisons can share stories and pictures. Renee would like to be part of this. Don offered to reach out to trail liaisons.
Item 5. Bike Park Updates (Susie/Ben) re-opened June 8, 2020
Max capacity (Covid restrictions) and cleansing every 2 hours are followed closely. SDMBA volunteers have been doing a great job to help support county staff.
Item 6. Trail Stuff Updates (Ben)
Pacific Highlands Ranch Trail update - trail finished. Ribbon cutting as
Permitted. Ben continues to communicate with pardee.
USFS update - invoice for $6,000 to be paid for Mt. Laguna Trails project. Funds were previously approved by the board. Full USFS agreement Check will be cut promptly.
Fanita Ranch - Comments due 7/13 on Draft EIR. Ben working on this.
CDFW Journal -Received this 24 hours ago. Consider hiring someone with the expertise needed to respond to this.
Ben Will be coming back to the board in July with potential projects for upcoming winter
Item 7. Mount Laguna Trail Fest Status (Susie)
Campground renovation will be completed mid-July 2020. We continue to monitor the situation regarding group events as does the USFS. USFS following all County of SD health guidelines.
