  1. Strategic Plan Update  Initiative #1 - ACCESS DRAFT

    1. Please review this document and add any comments before meeting for discussion

Need to set additional meeting to focus on this. Similar to a Mission statement, simpler is better. Meeting to discuss Initiative #1: scheduled on 12/2/2020, 6pm. Susie to send zoom invitation and work on formatting. 

Put dates by which to achieve each goal by 


  1. 2021 preliminary budget DRAFT (Ben and Susie)

Question: Are both Arch ride and Trailfest on our planning list? Arch at this point is looking like a virtual event (April)

Suggestions from board: See 3 or 4 actual annual expenses for comparisons; determine which of the items in draft budget we would put back in if revenue improves.

 

  1. Trail/Advocacy updates

    1. Village 13 - N. side of Lower Otay lake; development approval for BOS today. 

    2. Village 14, 16 & 19 - approved a while ago. Land swap to happen between a CA developer and division of Wildlife. Still has to be finalized (made it through the County’s process).

    3. Fanita Ranch - approved; will be on the ballot in 2022 or could be a special election

    4. Ivanoe Ranch - development SW side of Mt. McGinty

    5. Rancho La Costa - working on getting them a donation meter

    6. Trans County/ PQ - walk through done with Gina Washington today/quote up to 5k

    7. Coast to Crest - we will be helping with the Artesian section this season; haven’t gotten final approval yet

    8. Daley Ranch - Scott is mostly in charge 

    9. Mt Laguna Trails Project - Ben has one trail walk left with Lindsey (this week); it is still unknown what the changeover in County Board of Supervisors will mean.

    10. Sweetwater Bike Park (agreement and maintenance) - 

    11. Jesmond Dene Bike Park/Pumptrack (Escondido) Approved

    12. Mountain View Bike Park Survey (Escondido) - many comments made on the survey

    13. Ongoing FS negotiations 

    14. City of San Diego Right of Entry Permit (ROE)

    15. CAMTB Giveaway - Ben won several items for SDMBA!

    16. Truck Savings    $3,000 a year

  1. Development updates: 

    1. Make a Click - Take Your Pick Campaign Recap -Success attributed to better engagement from our partners; being able to choose the bike they wanted.

    2. Membership for Nov. to date 

    3. Giving Tuesday Dec. 1 - FB fundraiser + donor communication

    4. $6000 from REI Foundation Donation - separate from the REI Co-op grants with no restrictions or reporting requirements. 

    5. $2000  additional received from County Small Business Stimulus Grant

    6. 12/11 7 p.m. virtual Comedy night event with WineNest/Rancho Guejito Vineyard/Athletic Brewing/Rouleur Brewing.  40% back to SDMBA

    7. Zoic Clothing
